Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Next AGM - 17th June 2023
The AGM is a great opportunity to meet fellow practitioners, understand how your Association runs and share in an open discussion to influence its future direction.
This year we are able to hold our AGM in person again. It will be held at The Cedar Court Hotel, Huddersfield.
We are able to tie in the AGM to a 2-day CPD opportunity with Georgi Ilchev, a Bowtech tutor from Bulgaria. With 8 hours CPD from the AGM day and 16 from Georgi’s course you have the opportunity to earn 1 ½ years CPD in one go!
The formal proceedings will be followed by an open forum discussion to take us up to lunch. In the afternoon, in a break from the norm, we have a series of short presentations.
Dr Nick Browne from Whipps Cross Hospital in London will discuss how Bowen and other complementary therapies help patients in the cancer care unit he is responsible for.
Dr Neil Milliken will give a presentation on nutrition, with advice on what to take or avoid for specific conditions.
Georgi Ilchev will outline the principles of his approach to assessment and treatment, for awareness and as an introduction for those attending his 2 day course on 18-19th June.
Helen Perkins is the new Chair of Bowen Training UK and will give us an update of what is happening in their organisation.

AGM 2020 - 2022 - Online
We had an excellent turnout for the 2020 Online AGM, and many of you said they appreciated the opportunity of attending that way and would like to do it again next year, which was fortunate due to the ongoing Covid restrictions.
Richard Kelly ran the 2021 afternoon workshop, looking at the Drama Triangle from a practitioner/client perspective.
In 2022 Gini Dellow ran a workshop on “The PsychoSocial Aspects of Health”.
The AGM is always a great opportunity for sharing and discussion of ideas and we look forward to seeing you all in person in 2023!
AGM - 2019
A great time was had by all of us at the 2019 AGM and Seminars…
It was an inspirational meeting at Jury’s Inn, Oxford in July, including an animated Open Forum group discussion led by John Wilks:
“Finding common ground within the Bowen world – looking at how we can all help promote Bowen despite differing views.”
After a good lunch, Amichay Saller-Fischbach led us through his work with meridians and Bowen, and how scars impact the meridians.
Then followed an inspirational presentation by Sarah Archer, a marketing business coach and stand-up comedian, who helped us clarify our message, grow our marketing confidence and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to those members who made it all the way from Greece and Turkey respectively!
And if you couldn’t make it this year – do come in 2020! It’s inclusive, caring, interesting, and a wonderful way to meet and catch up with your Bowen family. Just take a look at the pics.
