AGM 2023
The 2023 AGM was held at The Cedar Court Hotel, Huddersfield. The formal proceedings were followed by an open forum discussion, then after lunch we had the following presentations:
Dr Nick Browne from Whipps Cross Hospital in London discussed how Bowen and other complementary therapies help patients in the cancer care unit he is responsible for.
Dr Neil Milliken gave a presentation on nutrition, with advice on what to take, or avoid, for specific conditions.
Georgi Ilchev, Bowtech Instructor from Bulgaria, outlined the principles of his approach to assessment and treatment, ahead of his 2 day CPD course after the AGM.
Helen Perkins, as the new Chair of Bowen Training UK, gave an update of what is happening in their organisation.
AGM 2020 - 2022 - Online
We had an excellent turnout for the 2020 Online AGM, and many of you said they appreciated the opportunity of attending that way and would like to do it again next year, which was fortunate due to the ongoing Covid restrictions.
Richard Kelly ran the 2021 afternoon workshop, looking at the Drama Triangle from a practitioner/client perspective.
In 2022 Gini Dellow ran a workshop on “The PsychoSocial Aspects of Health”.
The AGM is always a great opportunity for sharing and discussion of ideas and we look forward to seeing you all in person in 2023!
AGM - 2019
A great time was had by all of us at the 2019 AGM and Seminars…
It was an inspirational meeting at Jury’s Inn, Oxford in July, including an animated Open Forum group discussion led by John Wilks:
“Finding common ground within the Bowen world – looking at how we can all help promote Bowen despite differing views.”
After a good lunch, Amichay Saller-Fischbach led us through his work with meridians and Bowen, and how scars impact the meridians.
Then followed an inspirational presentation by Sarah Archer, a marketing business coach and stand-up comedian, who helped us clarify our message, grow our marketing confidence and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to those members who made it all the way from Greece and Turkey respectively!
And if you couldn’t make it this year – do come in 2020! It’s inclusive, caring, interesting, and a wonderful way to meet and catch up with your Bowen family. Just take a look at the pics.
