I am a Human and Canine Bowen Practitioner and I would like to tell you about my journey to where I am today.

I first heard about Bowen Therapy when I was training back in 2005 to be a masseuse. It was recommended to me by our course lecturer, she described it as a wonderful relaxing treatment. I didn’t act on it at the time, but later that year a therapist friend of mine said she was going to enroll on the course, I said I would go along and also train for the technique. Unfortunately, she was unable to train for personal reasons but I have already decided I would sign up for the Bowtech course, so off I went. I discovered The Bowen Technique, wow, I have never looked back.

I qualified as a Bowen Practitioner in April 2007. On a personal level I had suffered for many years with a problematic I coccyx, meetings and seminars were very difficult for me, I found sitting in one position for a while excruciatingly painful.

In my basic training I gave and receive Bowen therapy, I was delighted to see there was a procedure to help my problem. It eased but did not entirely go away. Now I had the desire to learn more and more.

I continued my training with Post Graduate courses, followed up with SBP 1 & 2, and there it was, a procedure that meant the end to my coccyx problem, Fantastic! My Bowen Journey continues, in 2015 I enrolled for their yearlong course with the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists, to become a Canine Bowen Practitioner. The course was intense and demanding, but what I learned is invaluable. To work in the company of Ron & Sally Askew, the founders of EGCBT was a fantastic opportunity & a great honor. The professional level of training was excellent and to see how the dogs respond to Bowen Therapy is amazing. The satisfaction from seeing the results of the treatment is so rewarding.

My plan for the near future is to continue my CPD and develop my CBT wherever possible. I run my practice from home in my converted treatment room, created with a truly holistic approach to healing. For Canine Bowen Technique, I can offer treatments in Merseyside, Cheshire, Wirral, Lancashire & Tameside.
