The Bowen Technique on Cats

Cats generally are less prone to muscular-skeletal issues than dogs. This is due to their highly flexible fascia which enables them to twist in the air to land on their feet. They are also selective as to when they move and with a much lighter frame do not put their body under stress in the way dogs chasing balls or playing with each other might do.

The Bowen Technique may help your cat cope with a range of symptoms associated with ill-health, whether age-related or as a result of accident or illness.  Contact your practitioner for further information.

The Bowen Technique may help with the following:

  • Allergies, Skin conditions
  • Infection from bites
  • Pre/post operative surgery
  • Arthritis
  • Accidents
  • Respiratory problems
  • Digestive/Kidney/Bladder and Bowel problems
  • Heart conditions
  • Epilepsy, Neurological issues

Testimonials

Diabetes and Pancreatitis

“My 18 year old Burmese cat was very poorly having been recently diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis. We were struggling to regulate his glucose with medication. Stanley had lost about 1/3rd of his body weight, wasn’t eating and could hardly stand unaided. I was starting to think he wasn’t going to make it through the weekend. His Bowen session was very short but very powerful. His eyes changed from dull and lifeless to interested within minutes and he promptly got off my lap and had something to eat. It was astonishing how quickly Stanley reacted to Bowen and, with a change in his diet to an organic, low carbohydrate food, he continued to improve from there on in. His diabetes is now in remission and he is currently off his medication!”
