The Bowen Association UK, About Us

The Bowen Association was set up in November 1997 at the request of Ossie and Elaine Rentsch, and is the European arm of the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. The aims of the association are to:

  1. Provide technical and practical support for Bowen therapists and their clients
  2. Provide a practitioner referral service for the general public
  3. Increase awareness of the Bowen Technique to the general public and health professionals.
  4. Increase the skills and knowledge of Bowen practitioners and aid in the development of a deeper understanding of the technique through research.
  5. Keep at the forefront of current government legislation regarding Complementary Medicine in the UK and Europe and to ensure that practitioners are kept informed of developments in this area.
  6. Ensure that practitoners adhere to the Association's code of ethics.
  7. Keep practitioners informed of latest developments through regular newsletters
  8. Provide specialist workshops, courses and refreshers for practitioners as well as introductory level courses.

The Association is run by 10 directors including Ossie & Elaine Rentsch and is a member of the British Complementary Medicine Association.

Insurance and Merchandise

Merchandise

For Leaflets, Polo shirts, Fleeces, Posters and more; Bowen Association brochures cost £7.50 per 50 or £15.00 for 100 for members. Please send a cheque payable to the Bowen Association with your name & address to the office and they will be sent to you by return of post. See the BA(UK) newsletter for further information.
